The production of the counterweight blocks for loaders is not merely a process of melting the metal and then pouring it into a mold. The entire process, including the smelting stage, requires that the molten metal must meet the specified requirements in terms of temperature and chemical composition. Only when the liquid metal meets all the specified indicators can it be allowed to be poured. Sometimes, to meet high standards, after the molten metal is taken out of the furnace, it also needs to undergo external treatments such as desulfurization, vacuum degassing, outside furnace refining, nurturing or transformation treatment. The commonly used equipment for smelting metals include electric arc furnaces, blast furnaces, induction furnaces, reflector furnaces, resistance furnaces, etc.
The commonly used loading machine sand-mixing equipment includes wheel-type sand-mixing machines, counter-flow sand-mixing machines, and blade-slot type sand-mixing machines. The latter has been revised for mixing chemical hard sand and is characterized by continuous mixing and high speed. The core-making of the loading machine's weight blocks is based on the requirements of the loading machine's weight-mixing process, and the shaping method is modified. It is carried out after preparing the shaping materials.
The economic advantages of the precision production process for the counterweight castings of loaders mainly rely on this process. The commonly used sand mold forming and core-making equipment includes high-pressure, medium-pressure and low-pressure molding machines, sand polishing machines, no-box injection molding machines, injection molding core-making machines, cold and hot core-box machines, etc. In many modern loader counterweight factories, the mold forming and core-making have been mechanized or automated.
For example, the counterweight sand, casting sand mold adhesives and other auxiliary materials, which are mixed together to form casting sand, core sand, coatings, etc., are collectively referred to as molding materials. The task of loading machine counterweight for molding materials is to select the raw sand, adhesives and auxiliary materials according to the requirements of the casting and the properties of the metal, and mix them in proportion.
